Crack open one of these rare reads

At Ellis Library Special Collections, visitors can see all sorts of rare materials, including a leaf of a Gutenberg Bible and a miniature handwritten novel that Charlotte and Emily Brontë wrote when they were girls. The writing is so small that reading it requires a magnifying glass. Occasionally, an item in the collection doesn’t look like a book at all. View a slideshow of a few pieces.
